Women Who Drink Wine: Manchester 7th Sept
This time, we will be mainly drinking Riesling
The grape variety which is a favourite of many wine writers and wine merchants, but not all consumers.
Why is this? Well, people associate it with some quite inexpensive sweet German wines from years ago – tucked away at the back of the cupboard with the Blue Nun and Advocat.
Guess what? It is delicious, varies quite a bit depending on where it is grown and Germany produces the best in the world.
If you’d like to be more Riesling-savvy, come along to Women Who Drink Wine in September.
It is our tried and tested formula of:
- Tasting of 3 wines made from the same grape variety, but different parts of the world
- Coveted no-prize quiz
- A chance to kick back and network with a lovely (and lively) crowd of ladies who work in the city centre and enjoy the odd tipple
Price £10 including all wines and nibbles.
All this in the sumptuous surroundings of Workplace in Churchgate house.
Chin-chin!
We run a regular wine club on the first Wednesday of the month which includes networking too. We have a bit of wine chat, you hopefully learn something, we drink the wine and then have a chance to get to know each other. Its all good.
